Movie House Poster and Chandelier
Hey, photogs! I'm returning after two months without a post. I've been busy updating my website. Can you guess where this photo was taken? It was taken in a very famous movie house, the Uptown theatre in Washington, DC. I was walking up to the balcony and saw this great retro poster of The Doors music group. Vintage posters are everywhere. Try to find them and capture them before they are gone. Watch for my next photo, and in the main time check out my website at: www.georgepagephotography.com

Lizard of Puerto Rico
I hope everyone had a nice summer. I love to travel and capture little chaps like this lizard. Puerto Rico has many species of lizards. I photographed this one in San Juan while walking the streets. It's my guess this little fella is looking for dinner, since the digital photo was taken in the early evening. I cropped the image from a wide angle perpective of 28mm. The ISO was, 400, shutter speed, 1/500 sec., and the aperture, 4.5. I used my Fujifilm X10.

FLAG DAY 2012
Hey, follow photographers. Flag Day comes around ever year, so I had this photo ready to go. I love taking photos of flags, especially the flag of the United States of America. The great, red, white, and blue. Flags can be seen everywhere. I captured this one while walking in the P St. corridor in North West Washington, DC. The 28mm wide angle, ISO of 400, 1/800 shutter speed, and aperture of 7.1 contributed to this late afternoon image of Old Glory. So, look up to the sky, you might see a flag blowing in the wind.

Tulip After the Rain

Hello, fellow photogs. I love photographing flowers every spring. I saw this beauty of a tulip after a rain fall. This is one of the hardest opportunities to find. I try and always carry one of my cameras with me, so as not to miss a moment like this. I set the camera to program function and activated the macro. The shutter speed was 1/8 of a sec. and the aperture was f2.8. The focal length was 24mm and the ISO was set at 400. Happy shooting!

Magenta Manequin

Hey! You night time shooters. I skipped January, but I'm back. I love shooting at night and combined that with my love of reflection photos. The tourist shop here displayed a manequin showing off the shops merchandise. My new Fujifilm X10 has a fast lens, which is what is needed to photograph at night, to get a sharp and highly saturated digital file.
