Commercial Tree

Hello iPhone shooters. Here is another photo from my iPhone 6s covering the Holiday season. This one looks like that tree in the Charlie Brown Christmas special, except it appears to be the commercial one. The iPhone 6s really has a good sensor and processor to produce visual images like this one. I'm having a lot of fun being creative with it. Happy Holidays!

Holiday Tree

Hey follow shooters! I just bought my first ever smart phone, the iPhone 6s. The images created with the iPhone 6s camera are excellent. I'm testing it at night, as this really shows how good it will capture in low light situations. It's holiday time, so what a great subject, a Christmas tree seen through a window at night. I will be posting a series of iPhone 6s photos during the coming days. I can be creative with my camera phone, and so can you. So, what's stopping you?

Red Maple Leaves

Hey shooters, I was very busy in the month of October. I just finished a audio/visual project that had a deadline. I hope you all have been taking some epic images. I'm going into the Fall with one of my favorite subjects, photos of fall leaves. I chose this tree because of its radiant red leaves. I added some light, not from a flash, but from my new Led light. I now carry this light in my kit bag to add light to the subject. Get yourself one, it adds light to boost color, contrast, and clarity to your pictures.

Starfish of Vieques

Hey guys, it's George, the camera man! The summer is ending and the fall is fast approaching, so I wanted to load one of the many photos I took on vacation in Vieques. Vieques is an island off the coast of mainland Puerto Rico. The image you see here is a starfish I viewed in an aquarium tank at The Vieques Conservation and Historical Trust on the Island. I used a Nikon AW120 waterproof camera. I set the camera to macro for a detailed close-up shot. Nice!

Jaguars of Belize

Hello photographers! I recently took a trip to Belize in Central America and photographed these jungle cats at the Belize National Zoo. These two different cats are Jaguars. They look like tigers, but they are not. Tigers have strips, and Jaguars have spots. I first started photographing animals at the National Zoo in Washington, DC, while in high school. I love photographing images of wildlife. I used a Nikon D700 DSLR and a 80-200 f/2.8 zoom telephoto lens to photograph these majestic cats.

Dinoflagellates micro organisms in the bioluminescent bay in Vieques, Puerto Rico.

Hey shooters,
I photographed this image of the dinoflagellates micro organisms in the bioluminescent bay in Vieques, Puerto Rico on a recent trip there. I used a Nikon AW120 waterproof digital camera with the ISO set at 6400. My wife and I were kayaking with a group at night. Some in the group with smart devices were not able to capture any usable image. DSLR cameras were not allowed on the tour. So, having a small camera with a sharp lens really came in handy.

WW II Flyover

Hey shooters! It's almost summer and I have been working on a few projects and haven't been posting for a while. So, this is what I captured at the World War II flyover on the Monument grounds in Washington, DC. I love aircraft and believe it or not this was my first time photographing planes. I used a Nikon D700 with a 80-200 F2.8 lens. I used shutter priority to slow down the propeller blades. Wow! I like it! I can't wait for another air show.
