Tulip After the Rain

Hello, fellow photogs. I love photographing flowers every spring. I saw this beauty of a tulip after a rain fall. This is one of the hardest opportunities to find. I try and always carry one of my cameras with me, so as not to miss a moment like this. I set the camera to program function and activated the macro. The shutter speed was 1/8 of a sec. and the aperture was f2.8. The focal length was 24mm and the ISO was set at 400. Happy shooting!

Magenta Manequin

Hey! You night time shooters. I skipped January, but I'm back. I love shooting at night and combined that with my love of reflection photos. The tourist shop here displayed a manequin showing off the shops merchandise. My new Fujifilm X10 has a fast lens, which is what is needed to photograph at night, to get a sharp and highly saturated digital file.

December Dusk

Hello photo geeks! I love to take photographs at dusk. I captured people as ghost images with a slow shutter speed. An Olympus StylusTough-6020 was used. Camera was hand held. ISO was 400, f3.9, and 1/3 sec. were the exposure factors. Watch for future photographs in 2012. Happy New Year!

Hello, all you point and shooters! I was walking out from a art supply store and happened upon this group of protesters marching toward Key Bridge in Washington, DC.

September Sunset

Hey folks, I hope you all had a great summer. I took this photo in mid September. It was happening so fast that I only had time to grab my Olympus point and shoot, and wow! Talk about a fiery sky. I set the camera at a wide angle setting, and set ISO at 100, held the camera against the window pane, and voila!

SUNFLOWER IN THE RAIN

I enjoy taking pictures in the rain. I cover my camera with a rain cover and start clicking. The sunflower I saw outside a flower shop was just covered with water drops. I used a Nikon D200 with a 50mm f1.8 lens, ISO at 400, 125 of a sec. with lens wide open at f1.8. I love what I got, and plan on printing it large. Go for it! Shoot in the rain!

Mother's Day Moon

Photographing the moon in Black and White looks great. The monochrome adds some mystery. The raw image was processed in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.
